Abduction: Ibezi, APGA Reps Candidate, four others dragged to court

An Anambra Magistrate Court sitting at Nnobi, Idemili South LGA has adjourned proceedings to Feb 14, 2019 for the arraignment of  a top All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) hopeful in the coming Feb 16, 2019 general elections, Chief Ifeanyi Ibezi.
Chief Ibezi who is the candidate of APGA for Idemili Federal Constituency in the coming general election is accused of masterminding the apprehension, forceful abduction of some citizens of Anambra state late night at Nnobi some weeks ago.
In the suit ref Mis/20c/2019, the Commissioner of Police Vs Ibezi, Ifeanyi Anthony,44 years old of Ezimuku village Abatete; and Anayo Ephraim Ndubisi 30 years old of Akwukwu; Agbaleke Osita 35 years old; Udoh Ifeanyichukwu 35years old and Hon Chinaza Okoye 35 years old allegedly conspired amongst themselves and assaulted Mr Paul Onwughalu and Friday Titus at Nnobi (near St Kelvin Catholic Church) in a manner that did them bodily harm, thereby committing an offence punishable under Sec 258 of the Criminal Code, Cap 36 vol 2 revised law of Anambra state 1991(as amended).
All, excluding Ibezi were also accused of allegedly conducting themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace by forcefully taking Paul Onwughalu and Friday Titus to the house of Ibezi without their consent, thereby committed an offence punishable under Sec 247(d)of the Criminal Code of Anambra State.
In the three count charge Ibezi and Anayo were allegedly accused of conspiring to do misdemeanor, deprivation of liberty punishable under Sec 496(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap 36 vol 2 revised law of Anambra state 1991(as amended).
The prosecutor was Mr A.A. Nwaor and the matter was adjourned to Feb 14,2019 for pleas to be taken, more so, none of the accused was present in court.
