One of the longest serving traditional ruler in Anambra state, Ogbuefi James Chukwudolue of Umuezawala community in the Ihiala local Government Area has joined his ancestors.
But in a shocking and dramatic fashion which many citizens described as clear indication of the undying love and closeness he enjoyed in his lifetime with his wife-Lolo Janet, she joined him just few days later.
Chukwudolue, according to details released his son -Okey Chukwudolue, ascended the throne of rulership of the community in 1964, which made him among the longest reigning monarch in Anambra state.
A 3-day burial rites showed late husband and wife will be buried same day.
A statement said, “…one of the longest serving traditional rulers in Igbo land, Chief James Agukwu Chukwudolue and his wife, Lolo Janet Chukwudolue will be committed to mother earth the same day.
“Chief Chukwudolue was for 55 years the traditional ruler of Umuezawala, Ihiala in Ihiala local Government Area of Anambra state.
“Ogbuehi Chukwudolue died at the age of 89 after a brief illness; his wife, Janet, who apparently could not bear the pains of the separation followed a few days after.
