From Ron Jacob, Jos
Chief Alexander Mwolwus, Plateau PDP Chieftain, on Monday described INEC pronouncement on Osun State Governorship election as “purely acting APC script.’’
Mwolwus told everyday.ng in an interview in Jos that “the action of INEC on the election was very shocking to patriotic citizens of the country and the international community.
“For not declaring the PDP candidate winner of last Saturday’s election but only declared it inconclusive, is so shocking and surprising to the whole world.
“I condemn in totality the action of INEC on Osun State Governorship election and I wish to advise the commission to do the needful in order to save our most cherished democracy, ’’ the chieftain advised.
Mwolwus who was a former Special Adviser to Ex-Governor Jonah Jang on Political Matters and is a senatorial aspirant, congratulated the people of Osun “for speaking so clearly that Adeleke is the man they want to lead them.’’
According to him, “what INEC did on Osun Governorship election was but a mockery of our democracy must resisted by all meaning Nigerians.’’
The Plateau PDP Chieftain noted, “constitutionally, INEC has no power to cancel any election in the first place as that power rest with the tribunal and nay court of law.’’
He called on President Buhari to call INEC to order “if at all the commission did act APC script by declaring the election inconclusive.’’
The Senatorial aspirant said that was the only way Nigerians would believe that the commission was actually on its own “for that day light robbery and blunder.’’
Mwolwus however congratulated PDP in Osun for the gallant show last Saturday and appealed to them to be peaceful and law abiding in the face of the provocation by INEC and its cohorts.
