An Onitsha based businessman, Mr Placid Abuchi Emmanuel Wednesday picked Labour Party’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms.
The aspirant who was accompanied to pick the forms by some party faithfuls and supporters was handed the forms by the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam at the party’s headquarters, Abuja.
Party bigwigs including the National Organizing Secretary, Clement Ojukwu, and the Assistant National Chairman (North Central) and others watched the brief but colourful ceremony.
Mr Emmanuel, told journalists that his aim is “to fix Nigeria like never before, phase out corruption and give the nation a facelift before the international community”.
He admitted to having a very burning desire to see that public officers start ‘walking the talk’ in the quest for a better nation where every citizen is equal before the law.
