PPC opts for option A4 for its congresses nationwide

Must read

From Ron Jacob, Jos.
The Providence People’s Congress (PPC) on Monday opted for Option A4 in all its congresses toward electing all public officers nationwide.
Mrs Kenang Gyang-Fulani, PPC Plateau State Chairman, announced this during the formal launch of the party in the state at its party secretariat opposite VIO Office, Jos.
The chairman stated that the new party was out to correct all the ills of the state and the nation as large “considering the corruption and injustices that pervaded the nation for over 20 years of the nation nascent democracy.’’
“It’s regrettable that less than 5 per cent people are controlling the resources and wealth of Nigeria; that PPC will change if Nigerians give us the chance.
“Plateau people and Nigerians are waiting for a party like this to salvage them from the rot pervading and eating deep into the image of the state and nation, ’’ she insinuated.
Gyang-Fulani said that the party’s slogan, “get it right, do it right’’ was deliberately chosen to give the electorate the best, more so that all elected officers shall maintain their accommodation with those that elected them.
She said that anybody who intends to vie for any elective position in the party must provide a recommendation letter from a spiritual father or clergyman “else there shall be no place for such a person in PPC.’’
The chairman who reeled out the party’s manifestoes said those contesting for House Assembly, House of Reps and Senate would pay a fee of N50, 000, N150, 000 and N200, 000 respectively.
In the same vein, those for Governorship and Presidential shall pick a form for N250, 000 and N500, 000 respectively.
According to her, the party congresses would be conducted between September and October in line with INEC time table to all political parties in the country and called on interested members to come forward and pick their forms.
The chairman who said the party would be doing things different from other parties, said that the party would soon announce a date for its one-day prayer toward the success of its congresses and elections.
Also speaking, Dr Haruna Dabin, member PPC board of trustees and former State Chairman of PDP, described PPC as “the hope of the masses.’’
“This is a party of God fearing people, who will do all they could to give Plateau and Nigeria and good governance for the desired growth and development.
“In PPC, we have no Godfathers; all members have equal privileges to determine who is the leader of tahe party; leadership comes from God and not about money so He gives to whoever He likes, ’’ Dabin stated
