He followed up the move with an unprecedented empowerment programme which benefitted more than One thousand five hundred (1500) constituents.
He presented vehicles to all the chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders of the three council areas under the federal constituency. While all ward chairmen, secretaries and youth leaders were also rewarded.
Other categories of members and party officials, even non members of the APGA were rewarded for their unflinching support.
Hon Nwankwo in his brief remark noted that the presentation was in fulfillment of his personal vow to God almighty to give back to society and to carry everyone along in his life success.
He clarified that none of the items came from any direct or indirect government funding but was in continuation of his more than 15 years of charity works which included annual free Medicare, scholarship programs, poverty alleviation scheme, youth and women empowerment.
Among the items distributed to the lucky supporters were vehicles, sewing machines, grinding machines, bags of rice and cash.
He appealed for magnanimity among beneficiaries, appealing that those who did not get now would be given in due course.
Senator Victor Umeh (Anambra Central) who was personally present commended Nwankwo’s sustained large heart, describing him as an embodiment of what a representative should be.
He urged the people to continue to support him, the party and their good works to ensure the state remains a shinning example for all others nationwide.
