HEAVEN, the only next level remaining

I have heard it proclaimed loudly by many a preacher and believer: a desire for God to move us to ‘the next level’. On face value, this sounds a great desire; didn’t our God promise us a lift from “one degree of glory to another”? In any case, who wants to stay on same level in this life?
That is precisely the issue ~ our preoccupation with life in this world. For many who desire this ‘next level’ are not thinking of the Christ-life or kingdom-life.
We don’t mind being minnows and mediocres when it comes to our spiritual lives, but are ever eager and passionate for ‘excellence’ in the things of the world ~ things that are bound to pass away with the world
As believers, we are seated at God’s right hand in Christ above all [Eph. 2:6] Only heaven is our next level . We are enjoined from there to seek things of eternal value. These are: GOD, His WORD and SOULS of men. Seeking relevance elsewhere, at the expense of these, is sheer vanity.
