Must read

Not more than 30 meteres from where he was born about three decades ago, Yadau Yahaya Umoru, met his death, all on account of pursuing the political ambition of a senior relative.
He was attacked and stabbed as he snatched a ballot box. His was the second death in the House of Representatives by-election for Lokoja/Kotonkarfe constituency of Kogi State, which held Saturday, according to the Police.
And for former Senator Smart Adeyemi, he suffered humiliation when he showed up for the election at Kotonkarfe (video below). Adeyemi, a known supporter of Governor Yahaya Bello, was susudenly rushed at and his baseball cap removed from his head and passed around.

No reason emerged for the embarrassment, but Adeyemi is not from the federal constituency, though the area falls within the Kogi West Senatorial District he once represented in the Senate.
Yahaya Umoru, a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was allegedly stabbed to death by a supporter of another political party.
Pandemonium broke out when some party thugs stormed a polling unit opposite the palace of the town traditional ruler, the Maigari of Lokoja.
At about the same time, Umoru, known to be blue-blooded like the Maigari, allegedly snatched the box, but was attacked and allegedly stabbed in the ensuing melee. He died shortly after.
