The much awaited defection of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and his successor as Governor in Kwara State, AbdulFatah Ahmed, from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken place.
Both men were in the PDP until they defected four years ago.
Ahmed will be the second governor to cross-carpet. Governor Samuel Ortom did last week, while Saraki is the 14th Senator to move to the PDP..
