The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters appears confused as it has re-instated redeployed Plateau Police Commissioner, Indie Aide.
Bala Ciroma, who took over from him for 24 hours has been summoned back to Abuja.
A Police statement in Jos, Plateau State, noted that power to move police chiefs is within the powers of the Inspector-General, Ibrahim Idris adding that Adie was re-instated because he “understands the terrain better as such he is to remain and steer the ship off the tides”.
Come-backing Adie thanked Plateau residents for their co-operation so far. He “solicits for more synergy”.
It is the second time this year that a State Police Commissioner was removed and returned within 24 hours. When some suspects escaped police detention in Lokoja, Kogi State, the State Police Chief, Ali Hanga , was removed but returned almost immediately.
