Must read

The Ekiti State Police Command has said that the policeman who shot and injured fromer House of Representatives member, Mr. Bamidele Opeyemi, is one of its own, and not fake as is being speculated.
In fact, he was on illegal duty away from his post at an Ikeja Bank in Lagos. He acted as an escort to an Ekiti politician who was at the ill-fated rally and has been questioned by the Ekiti Police, according to its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu.

The policeman that shot Opeyemi beaten black and blue.

His words: “He’s not a fake policeman, he’s our officer but he was on illegal duty in Ekiti State.
“He was an officer posted as Guard at a Bank in Ikeja, Lagos but he illegally escorted a Politician to Ekiti State on illegal duty.
“The Politician came from Lagos to attend the rally. The politician has also been quizzed.”
The Police position runs counter to that of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State which is pointing in the direction Governor Ayo Fayose.
Opeyemi is still in hospital with others like Olabode Joshua, Olanrewaju Gbenga, Adebayo Ogunjemilehin, Ogunmodede Oluwole and Alex Adeleye.
