Must read

From Adedeji Joseph, Ilorin.
A group in the All progressives Congress (APC), in Kwara State called All Legacy Groups (ALG) has called on members  of the party and Nigerians in general, to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo come 2019.
The group, led by its chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari, made the call in Ilorin at the formal launching of the state chapter of Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 re-election organs.
“We are disturbed by the lack of any visible re-election bid to date, of President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019 by our Kwara APC controlled State.
“After due and relevant contacts and consultations followed by carefully analyzing the comparable achievements of President Buhari, we came to the overwhelming conclusion that the APC-led Federal Government deserves another four years in order to institutionalise its achievements.
“We are genuinely committed to the re-election bid of President Buhari and with the sympathetic support of some assumed opposition members, we are ready to deliver Kwara in the next election to President Buhari and the APC,” Samari added.
Samari listed the achievements of the President to include building ‘human’ bridges that have reduced suspicion between one tribe and another.
He said rail transportation has been improved upon by the President as it now takes passengers one and half hours to travel from Abuja to Kaduna by rail.
“Though corruption is still fighting back vehemently but we must appreciate Buhari for at least bringing to the fore, those involved and quantum of their involvement,” he said.
According to him, some of the corrupt elements were those involved in the ongoing campaign of calumny and spread of deliberate falsehood to discredit the anti corruption stance of the president
When asked by journalists that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki who is the leader of APC in Kwara State might show interest in the presidency next year Samari said nobody had shown interst in the seat of President Buhari
“As far as we are concerned, no one has indicated interest to run for presidency in the All Progressives Congress either here in Kwara or any part of the country. We don’t even believe anybody in our State will do that”, Samari said
