For people who have had their SELF set aside by the cross, they do not do any work.
Nothing of Man
The work of God they know to do is to believe in Him whom God has sent, John.6:29. No human SELF can work the work of God. The human SELF must go to the cross. When this happens the man has nothing out of himself to do the work of God. He will believe in Jesus whom God has sent, the Jesus that now dwells in him.
Those who have tasted a little of this understand what I am saying. They don’t do any work for God. They just believe in Christ. They know that any attempt to do God’s work by THEMSELVES will corrupt His work. They remove their hands and just believe, and wait to receive signals and transmissions from heaven. Aa I write these series I did not see myself doing any work. I did not even plan or sit down to work. There was no sweating at all. The Lord came, and began to transmit a message to His Church.
Did I do any Work? No. For weeks, I would be believing and trusting Him. God’s work is too sacred for a man as he is constituted in his human nature, to do. I must be emptied of SELF by the work of the cross to create space for Him to flow through.
The Refiner is Coming
Many times, I get alarmed when I see ministers doing many things. Heaven does not want anything of SELF to do His work. If heaven decides they may even keep me aside for a year without doing any work. They are not losing anything. It is we that want to work, to show we are busy, and in the process cause trouble, and scatter God’s work, and bring strange fire to His altar. It is we that want to help God. We do not want His work to spoil, so we fight for positions and office. If Satan wants to take over God’s work through the schemes of carnal leaders, let him take over. It is not your business to fight them. Your own is to believe that He that said He will come will come, and throw away these money changers. He will come and purge His Church. He will not tarry. Everyday may be for the thief; but surely, one day will be for the owner. Jesus, the owner of the Church is coming.
May be, we do not know. Politics and striving for position in churches soils the believer’s garment. The garments of many Christian leaders have been stained because of strife and church politics. Church leaders who have allowed themselves to be enmeshed in politics and going to court should better repent quickly or else they will be cast into hell, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
