“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6 KJV
For all who dare to celebrate Christmas, do we really understand the significance of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:21, 2 Corinthians 5:17)? Are we just using the period to party, play all sorts of masquerades, participate in some community festivals, reunite with family and friends, etc. Do we realize that on that day God made good His promise to redeem humanity from sin/death? God promised Abraham that through His (Abraham’s) “seed,” or descendants, all nations of the world would be blessed (Genesis 22:18; Galatians 3:14-16). God showed that above all things He loves humanity infinitely (John 3:16). What are we doing to reciprocate this great love? Are we following Jesus Christ like He directed (John 14:6, John 4:23–24)? Are we distancing ourselves from sin and the devil like He directed (1 Peter 3:11, 2 Timothy 2:19, John 4:23–24), knowing that those can only lead us to eternal death? Most of all, are we grateful to the LORD God Almighty for this great and unmatchable love which He has shown us? As we celebrate today, let’s consider our relationship with the Lord God, we must live our lives in conformity with His standards and look forward to having all that we desire through Christ.
I pray that as we celebrate today, may the Holy Spirit of God bring joy to its fullest into our lives, may all the problems currently plaguing our lives bow completely to the presence of God in our lives in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Good morning, have a Merry and an unforgettable Christmas.
