Must read

From a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba, who has never held elective office at local, state and federal government levels came blistering remarks against the President, State Governors, and Ministers.
Samples: “Government’s work is misunderstood even by the President. He doesn’t understand the nature of how to run a government,…
“Governor Ambode of Lagos State says that he runs either the third or fifth largest economy in Africa, but you are all in Lagos (he was briefing journalists in Lagos), this is a broken city, it is a completely broken city and in the index of the harshest cities to live in the world, Lagos is third from the last…
“Okorocha is erecting statues of all kinds of people when Imo state owes pensioners…
“Wike is using Rivers state money to buy SUVs for members of the National Assembly.”
“He [Buhari] needs to sack his entire cabinet because they have failed…”
As far as Agbakoba was concerned, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Kayode Fayemi, were classic cases of misfits as round pegs in square holes.
To him, governor were under-performers.
There are suggestions Agbakoba’s remarks shooting down both All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) public officers is part of a design to herald a third political force of which he is a member.
Just 11 days ago, a public statement announcing the third political force crept into the country’s consciousness, leading analysts to calculate the members were a warehouse of core foot soldierrs and technocrats preparing the framework for the mega-pafty to depopulate the APC and PDP of its big names.
The statement read: Ahead of the 2019 elections and especially in view of what was termed as “the subsisting divisive and corrupt politics in the country”, prominent political leaders of thought and frontline activists in the country met in Abuja on Tuesday to initiate what is tagged National Intervention Movement, NIM, a platform expected to transform into the “Third Force” in the political scheme of country.
The political gladiators who met under auspices of the Nigeria Political Summit Group, NPSG, a non partisan, inclusive pan Nigerian democratic platform initiated to galvanise national political cohesion among new brand of leaders of conscience for Nigeria at the end of their parley, announced a major national political Intervention towards reggiging Nigeria political system once and for all, ahead of the 2019 elections
According to the communique issued at the end of the parley in Abuja on Tuesday and signed by the Convener of the NPSG, Olawale Okunniyi (Veteran Che) on behalf of the group, the new Movement resolved to massively mobilize credible stakeholders and allies across the entire country, especially the Nigerian Youths both Females and Males, towards a Real Change in the Nigerian political system within the shortest possible frame of time
The Inaugural Meeting which was attended by a cross section of new brand political Leaders from across the six geo Political zones of Nigeria is expected to immediately proceed to concretize its resolutions at a proposed national retreat scheduled to hold next month at a location somewhere in the northern part of the country before moving to convene a major National political Summit anticipated to hold in the first quarter of 2018
At the end of its deliberations, the inaugural closed door roundtable Consultation, constituted a 19 member Steering Committee to pilot the resolve and agenda of the body into a major national convergence at a National political Summit, where the Movement is expected to be formally launched.
Members of the Steering Committee include;
Dr Olisa Agbakoba, SAN
Dr Jhalil Tafawa Balewa
Prof Pat Utomi

Mr Donald Duke
Senator Ghada Abubakar
Dr Mrs Kemi Jorge
Hajia Ramatu Dalhatu Musa

According to the Conveners, this novel political intervention by the NPSG is geared towards mobilizing new brand of ideological leaders from across the country to join hands with a select team of the country’s leading lights and credible Political leaders in building a formidable momentum towards bringing about a popularly desired new Nigeria.
