PDP Convention: Bayelsa delegates united on chairmanship candidate – Cleopas
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Moses Cleopas, has said the state chapter is united in its choice for the party’s national chairmanship position.
Cleopas, who spoke to journalists in Yenagoa on Saturday, said the state delegates to the December 9 national convention of the party in Abuja would vote in the best interest of the party, the state and the Ijaw nation.
“The PDP in Bayelsa remains strong, united and cohesive. There is no division on how we will vote during the national convention of our great party.
“The PDP under the able leadership of Governor Seriake Dickson in the state will always decide and act in the best of our state and the Ijaw nation,” he said, adding that none of its leaders should be blackmailed on account of their choice.
The chairman said the party would meet on Monday, December 4 at its secretariat in Yenagoa to finalise arrangements for the convention and to put to rest any doubts about the state’s position.
