Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: 16 vehicles in multiple accidents, five dead

At least five persons, a male and four females, are feared dead in multiple accidents involving 16 vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Details were sketchy on early Thursday morning crash, but initial reports from road safety officials said the accident happened on Kara bridge on the busy road.
19 persons, 11 males and eight females, were injured, and are said to have been evacuated to hospitals, while the obstruction caused by the accidents have been cleared.
A total of 53 persons were in the vehicles in the multiple crash that involved eight trucks.
There were also four buses, one Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle, and three cars.
