Abuja Police boss promises water tight security security during festivities

Ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-fitr celebration, the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Musa Kimo, has given assurances to residents of the FCT that there would be water-tight security at all prayer grounds and recreational parks across the FCT.
A statement by the FCT Public Relations Officer, ASP Usen Omorodion, on Thursday in Abuja, said Kimo also ordered Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to deploy their personnel to all the strategic points so as to forestall any security breach.
According to him, the commissioner ordered the deployment of plain-clothes and uniformed Police personnel from the Command Headquarters to man all entry and exit points, and to embark on motorised, foot and static patrol across FCT.
The commissioner, however, enjoined FCT residents to support the police with timely information on the movement of suspicious and strange persons around them, while assuring FCT residents of adequate security during the Eid-al-fitr celebration.
