The cabals that have held Nigeria and Nigerians captive before and after independence are still at their game of fostering their selfish and myopic interests using gullible Nigerians, especially the youths, whom they have continuously impoverished over the years on purpose.
The very painful thing in all of these is that the impoverished and pauperized Nigerians gleefully fall easy prey to the uncanny, self-centred, and centrifugal manipulations of the cabals who pretend to be working for the vast majority of Nigerians for an ephemeral pittance.
It was the cabals that manipulated the political foundation in which the independence Nigeria was built resulting in the fratricidal war that claimed over three million fellow citizens.
That faulty and shaky foundation is still threatening us such that most people in Nigeria do not see the importance of our oneness as a united, indivisible country under God. That lack of faith in Nigeria as belonging to the various ethnic nationalities is responsible for the skewed policies that emanated from administrations both military and civilian since independence.
We fought an unfortunate three years civil war to keep Nigeria one as a federating country. However, since the civil war, have we really as a people kept to the tenets of a federation? It is an open secret that we are operating a pseudo federation which was one of the reasons we went to war in 1967.
The cabals who flower in the unitary system of government we are currently operating do not want the restructuring of the country. The governors dismantle local government administration, and the lawmakers are not keen to amend the constitution to give the units that make up Nigeria constitutional leverage to self-determination.
It is the non-belief in Nigeria that has made many of the cabals to take their investments abroad, and those who have invested in the country exploit and continue to exploit the less privileged in the country. Today, salaries are seldom paid and sometimes not paid at all. Many of those who have retired after meritorious service to fatherland never get their pension and gratuity before their death.
The cabals from different geo-political zones who feel threatened by the Buhari administration are working assiduously to create tension in the country in order to protect their interests.
That is why the likes of Nnamdi Kanu, and the Coalition of Northern Youths, who did not witness the civil war in the country are beating the drums of war propelled by the cabals, many of whom have their families abroad.
The political feud involving Senator Deno Melaye, and the Governor of Kogi State reportedly claimed the life a youth in the state. That young lad lost his life at his prime for what did not profit him. Of course, the gladiators and their family members are safe in their cozy homes.
Similarly, the Boko Haram suicide bombers and foot soldiers, IPOB demonstrators, and other agents of ethno-tribal and sectarian agitations do not realise the deceit of the cabals that send them on mission of self-destruction.
Sadly, the agents of the cabals are so brainwashed that they do not ask pertinent questions such as: Where are your family members in all of these? What is there for me in the course you want me to follow?
It is high we began to see the good in Nigeria. It is high time we appreciated one another and do not allow the cabals in the country to use us to achieve their selfish ambition. It high time we separated the cabals from the governance structure of the country. It is high time we stopped the cabals at their game of using us against us.
