Buhari re-presents frail 82 years old judge as ambassadorial nominee

Weeks after the Senate rejected an octogenarian on account of his less than appropriate answers to questions at a Senate screening committee, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday re-submitted his name, again, as an ambassadorial nominee from Imo State.
82 years old Justice Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor was also dropped by the Senate based on the report of its Foreign Affairs Committee that he looked tired and frail.
But Ondo State nominee, Mr. Jacob Igbekele Daodu, rejected on account of a security report by the Department of State Services (DSS) was replaced with Joseph Olusola Iji.
Suleiman Zarma Hassan (Gombe) nominated for a ministerial position was replaced with retired Commodore Yusuf Jonga Hinna.
Four persons: Professor Ummu Ahmed Jalingo (North East), Professor Justitia Nnabuko (South East), Professor Mike Obadan (South South), Dr. Abdu Abubakar (North West)  and Adeola Adetunji had their names sent in to be screened as non-executive directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
