Makarfi defies Appeal Court, summons PDP stakeholders meeting

Sacked National Chairman of National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi, will be chairing a meeting of PDP political office holders and others in a  Monday show to prove popularity among mainstream members.
An appeal court in Portharcourt, Rivers State, declared Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the authentic National Chairman of PDP last Friday.
The meeting is also meant to endorse the Supreme Court option, and a Plan B, if the highest court of the land disappoints.
everyday.ng has already been told that the option is to move en-masse to another party, if the destabilisation plot succeeds against the PDP.
The emergency meeting of stakeholders of the party will review the Appeal Court judgement which came as a surprise to many.
A notice of the meeting signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Makarfi faction, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, listed those invited for the National Executive Committee (NEC), to include members of the Board of Trustees (BoT), National Assembly members, former governors of PDP, former ministers under the platform of the PDP, former National Assembly members and
party elders.
Invitees were urged to show up unfailingly, because of the crucial nature of the meeting.
